Comparison of Concrete Mix Design Methods Based on SNI 7656:2012 and Circular Letter of the Minister of PUPR No. 07/SE/M/2016 with Optimum Curing

The Circular Letter of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Number 07/SE/M/2016 (SE) supports low-carbon policies. SNI 7656:2012 (SNI) is still frequently used. Both methods accommodate OPC, PPC, and PCC cement. This study aims to find the differences between the two guidelines. The study was conducted experimentally with a target compressive strength of 25 MPa. The immersion curing duration was 26 days for the 28-day compression test sample, and 54 days for the 56-day compression test sample. The number of samples for each test from each method at each age was 3. The results were analyzed using the Dixon criteria. The analysis results showed that the SNI method produced a 10% higher cement content than SE, with an average compressive strength of 26.15 MPa; SE achieved a compressive strength of 22.12 MPa. The target compressive strength with the SE method was achieved at 90 days.
